Dr. Parvin Shafa is the founder and practicing physician of OC MedDerm Medical Center, a state-of-the-art center for Surgical, Medical, and Cosmetic Dermatology and Best Skin Doctor located in Orange County in the city of Irvine, California.
Dr. Parvin Shafa was awarded her medical degree and dermatology training from Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, where she graduated at the top of her class. Afterwards, she completed further training at UC Irvine, where she was involved with multiple research projects and was published in major medical journals. Subsequently, she continued her journey by completing her residency at Loma Linda University in 1995.
A history of healing
Our roots go way back to the 1800’s, in rural Switzerland, with a powerful healing ointment that was passed down by farmers for generations.
In 1988, that Swiss secret made its way to the US by way of our founder who saw its full healing potential and developed a line of professional wound care products called SkinMD. That line soon became the trusted choice in healing at hospitals, burn centers and rehabilitation clinics around the world. In 2007, we brought our medical heritage and science-backed formulas to everyday products and became the SkinMD we are today.
